Re: Noble testimonial - 28th March 'Live on BT Europe'
Watched on the TV and it looked excellent.

Re the Tombides goal, it came across as a special moment all round as camera shots televised the crowd standing and applauding in a way that showed respect of the significance of the goal.

All round, made you very proud to be a West Ham fan.

Cannot wait to Saturday now and the Palace game.

Really feel that we may have a very big game in us and can really push on now.

However the West Ham fan of old in me whispers in the other ear and that a banana skin is on the way...

Can't believe there's a few people further down moaning about yesterday.

If you didn't enjoy seeing a great player honoured, the old heroes in the shirt one more time, Tombides, emotional moments for Ashton and Collison, then you ain't proper West Ham and framkly you can fuck right off.

Typical WHO.

Cunting duly noted.

Now fuck off!

The more I think about yesterday, the more wonderful the day seems.

Seeing dicks, paolo and all the others that I didn't think I'd see again was such a wonderful experience.

We'll done to the match announcer though. Exactly how may mistakes did he make?
And the scoreboard showing more scorers than goals.
Good effort.

Al joking aside. Fucking great day

Wonderful testimonial. The best I've ever seen though I could only watch it on TV (I would have loved to have been there!)
Even on TV you could tell there was a brilliant atmosphere with 35,000 turning up to watch
There were some incredible pieces of skill & humour
Too many to mention them all, though Deano's goal was one of the best you're ever likely to see & Tombides goal was a great (& emotional) momement
Perfect!

If you had a nasty bout of the flu not a chance would you make it to the game.

You have a heavy cold.

Re: Noble testimonial - 28th March 'Live on BT Europe'
An absolutely brilliant day out despite hanging with a nasty bout of the flu.

Like a lot have said I really enjoyed the spirit of the game and everyone who played yesterday seemed like they wanted to be there. I was surprised at the competitiveness that the all stars put in (particularly in the first half). Goals were very good.

Spurs can also fuck off with their comments. They'd probably have to look back some way in their diaries for a decent testimonial for one of their lot.

Most emotional bit of the day was my 3 year old going to her first game and singing bubbles. That 1st go of bubbles was something really special and will live long in the memory for me.

Watched it on BT sport, it was extraordinary. When has a testimonial ever received such coverage?

Incredible full house that stayed long after the end of the game, a great family atmosphere and a couple of cracking goals.

Think everyone is agreed Dean Ashton's goal was the pick of the crop and was good to see some many old and not so old faces on the pitch.

Well done Mark Noble and the Board for making this happen and to all the old boys who turned out or just turned up

That, to me, is what WHU is all about. It's always been one big family. It's hasn't always been fun, but we have always had that sense of togetherness that too few clubs have.

I saw a few retweets from Spurs fans that WHU fans shared on Twitter last night. They were saying what an embarrassing affair it all seemed, particularly ridiculing Adrian for that goal and Sakho for the selfie celebration. It made me realise more than ever how thankful I am that I was chosen to support WHU rather than them. They have absolutely no sense of humor or occasion and just didn't have a clue why the game was played in such a jokey manner. FFS, just what is it with those twats? I reckon any other supporters in the land could have watched that yesterday and feel nothing but amused and entertained - yet that lot have to put a different spin on it.

Re: Noble testimonial - 28th March 'Live on BT Europe'
Was a fantastic day out, spirits were high and it was great to see everyone having so much fun on top of some world class stuff from Ashton. Personally for me it was great to see the ex-players as aside from the likes of Sheringham, Etherington, Harewood and a few others, I didn't really get to see much of the others' time here, far too young to remember much of it, so to see them out in the kit was brilliant.

Few moments which could have got emotions going. Seeing Collison and Ashton back, thinking what could have been. Tombides' goal and tribute to his brother. Lovely stuff.
Proud day to be a Hammer.

Lucky that my last game there will be the quarter final, so could be a belter.

Don't want to leave UP, though I'm not sentimental and so there won't be any different emotions.

Will just be odd not going back seeing as I've seen around 500 games there over the past 25 years.

Who's saying they are Davers.... is there a fan league or something...?? Just saying goodbye to the old place along with a few others... no need to get all shitty when there is a real happy (yet sad) vibe going on... has someone wiped their arse on your coffee mug or something??

If that game was your last game, you're not a proper fan.

Still can't get over how good Ashton's goal was.

After everything he has been through and he still manages to pull off a goal which requires so much skill.

Such a waste of talent, got to feel sorry for him.

After 15-20 years of the fitness regimes modern players have to go through, I'd definitely myself think fuck that afterwards.

Luckily I have absolutely no interest in food, as I pretty much did do that anyway after years of competing in running, swimming and footie, as otherwise I'd be massive.

Lovely way - for me - to say goodbye to the old ground
my 14 year old loved seeing all the players I talk about all the time.
